Educational Program: Spanish and Electives
Spanish All classes receive Spanish instruction three times a week with our native speaking Felipe Perez. Children enjoy his creativity and enthusiasm. He uses a variety of hands-on methods to teach Spanish, including repetition, art, and songs for word recognition and fluency.
Four times during the year, children from each of the core classrooms are grouped together to explore topics offered by the faculty and staff. Classes meet twice a week for three weeks. In
addition to a child's primary class teacher, other learning specialists
will develop a child's skills within school-wide programs. All children
at Spruce Street School participate in arts, Spanish, electives, and yoga
as part of the daily curriculum.
